Emma Freedman
Emma Freedman is a London and Oxford based portrait photographer and visual story teller.
One of the most important aspects of portraiture is capturing a person’s personality in just one photo. Emma makes sure that the people she is photographing feel comfortable, relaxed and more themselves in front of the camera in order to capture images with their personality shining through. She loves giving people photographs they will love.
Her personal projects focus on documenting the stories behind people’s medical conditions and disabilities. She is interested in the psychological and emotional impact of people living with these conditions and uses her photography as a tool to document the lives of the people living with them. Her photographs are positive visual messages to encourage and motivate people to stay strong and persevere, especially after a life changing accident or a diagnosis.
